The lid is made of real bamboo!!! Unlike others that only have a coated or printed lid!! If you look closely, you can see a slight "printing" defect that makes the sides not perfectly smooth... but overall, it's an excellent item!

Nice box, looks solid. The cardboard box with tissues doesn't fit, you have to take them out and put them in separately.
