They look just like they do in the ad. I chose size L - I would say they are closer to a 14 than a 12, but they are a comfortable fit. I am under 5ft 2 and these come up high to my waist. The side seam measures approx 17cm (quite deep) and the length of the front, top seams together down to crotch, is approx 31cm so they do come up high and look pretty large when they first come out the bag! They are great under clinging and thin fabric clothing as they are seamless, soft and silky, but for those reasons, they offer no support or tummy control. Got them on an offer, so pleased with what I paid for them. They are hand-wash only
