To make sure it will connect each pieces more tighter, it is minus tolerance design. When install, push the pegs into side racks with a little big pressure, then the whole rack will be tight. The weight is light, the size is convenient for a compact kitchen, small counter space. Very Sturdy to hold 8 pcs dishes/ lids/ etc, and one plate/lids/etc per slot.
