These were metal and so they arrived in perfect condition. I would not consider these heavy duty as the are quite petite. I would hazard a guess at less than 1 mm thick and a little over 25 mm from angle to angle. They would probably be ok for a childs bed.

In the pictures they look much more massive but also in quality, they will be sufficient for their purposes. But it fits for the costs and I say thank you.
