the floating bottom is wired so I was unsure if it would affect the comfort when in bed, I can now say from experience that it isn't noticeable at all.

I am a size 14 and ordered a 16 for a bit of room for comfort in bed, also because I find sizes run smaller. The 16 fits beautifully with just the right amount of movement for comfort as well as looking very pretty.
