If you first fold the inner rubber rim outwards, then put the lid on the mixing bowl and only then turn the rubber rim back into its normal position over the edge of the pot, it is easy to put on. Otherwise, it's quite a fiddle. But with this method it is super easy and I am very happy with my purchase!!
