These are beautiful Good quality material they are quite nicely heavy to what one would imagine and haven't tarnished with tea. They wash up nice and haven't deteriorated. I cant say if they're machine washable as i done have a dishwasher but i would imagine they would be fine. I bought one then bought a set for a musician friend as i was pleased with the quality. Ideal and unusual gift.
