You only wipe with the Frisvh water and the dirty water is in the separate chamber. It is also easy to empty through the spout plug at the bottom. I have oiled real wood floor, which may only be wiped with a damp cloth. In this respect, the device fulfills its purpose perfectly.

Absolutely love this mop. Best one I've had in years.. It is sturdy, moves very smoothly and with ease.. I love that you get 3 pads with it.. I use one pad for dusting first and then use another for mopping.. It's amazing how much dirt comes away in the second compartment.. 10/10 highly recommend
